    <description descriptionType="Abstract">This dataset contains ocean climate input data for ISIMIP3b (www.isimip.org, Frieler et. al. in prep.) Marine Ecosystems and Fishery sector on a 1x1° grid. Data originates from CMIP6 archives and was remapped to a common regular global grid. It includes data from these global climate models which delivered data from a bio-geochemical submodule: GFDL-ESM4, UKESM1-0-LL, MPI-ESM1-2-HR and IPSL-CM6A-LR. For GFDL-ESM4 we fall back on the already remapped 1x1° data provided in ESGF while for the other 3 models we did the remapping on our own. In addition, MPI-ESM1-2-HR is also available on a half-degree grid. As requested by the modeling community, vertically integrated as well as ocean bottom and surface values for some variables were derived from the remapped data. The time series cover the period 1601-2100 for the piControl experiments, 1850-2014 for historical and 2015-2100 for the future experiments ssp126, ssp370 and ssp585, respectively.&lt;br&gt;With version 1.1 of this DOI, we fixed the direction of the latitude index in the GFDL-ESM4 files.&lt;br&gt;Version 1.2 fixes the grid in some of the files (see https://data.isimip.org/caveats/8/).&lt;br&gt;Version 1.3 fixes the units in IPSL-CM6A-LR chlorophyll datasets.&lt;br&gt;Version 1.4 fixes the grid in some of the files (see https://data.isimip.org/caveats/41/).&lt;br&gt;Version 1.5 fixes inaccurate longitude values in the grid definition for GFDL-ESM4 ocean data (see https://data.isimip.org/caveats/58/) and adds datasets for deptho.&lt;br&gt;Version 1.6 adds datasets for intppmisc, phymisc, phymisc-vint, and sos for all models as well as tos for MRI-ESM2-0.&lt;br&gt;Version 1.6 adds datasets for intppmisc, phymisc, phymisc-vint, and sos for all models as well as tos for MRI-ESM2-0.&lt;br&gt;Version 1.7 fixes 4 files which were accidentally generated up to the year 2300 instead of up to the year 2100 (see https://data.isimip.org/caveats/78/).</description>
    <description descriptionType="Methods">Remapping was done with CDOs bilinear remapping functionality. The vector-based zonal and meridional water velocities were rotated before from irregular grids with shifted earth poles to direct relative to true earth poles.</description>
