      "description": "This dataset contains the nitrogen deposition input data for ISIMIP3b Group I and II simulations (Frieler et al. 2025, www.isimip.org). It is derived from gridded NHx and NOy deposition data simulated by NCAR Chemistry-Climate Model Initiative (CCMI) in support of CMIP6 and in accordance with the Global N2O Model Intercomparison Project (NMIP) protocol (Tian et al. 2018). The data for the Group III simulations are available from Yang et al. (2026).<br>The original CCMI data was downscaled to the ISMIP half degree grid using the nearest neighbor remapping.<br>Wet and dry components are taken from the CMIP6 input4MIPs datasets and were obtained from the Earth System Grid Federation (Hegglin et al. 2016, 2018a, 2018b, 2018c).<br>Version 1.1 of this dataset removes future data, which is now available from Yang et al. (2026), and adds files for the dry and wet component of the reduced and oxidized nitrogen deposition.",
