Abstract:

This dataset contains the country masks from the ISIpedia (https://www.isipedia.org). The masks are available as binary or fractional maps on a 0.5° x 0.5° latitude-longitude grid. More formats are available at the GitHub repository (Perette 2022, https://github.com/ISI-MIP/isipedia-countries).

With version 2.4 we follow the versioning scheme used in the GitHub repository. For the changes, please refer to the release information in the GitHub repository.

Version 2.6 updates the fractional countrymask using a different algorithm (see https://github.com/ISI-MIP/isipedia-countries/releases/tag/v2.6). The difference will be mostly pronounced for extended archipelago with tiny islands and small territories attached to large, extended ones, or marginal areas of large territories.
