Abstract:

This dataset contains ISIMIP2b (https://www.isimip.org, Frieler et al. 2017) simulation data from 4 permafrost models: CLM4.5 (Thiery et al. 2017, Lawrence et al. 2011, Oleson et al. 2013), LPJmL (Sitch et al. 2003, Schaphoff et al. 2013), ORCHIDEE (Guimberteau et al. 2017), and ORCIDEE-DGVM (Guimberteau et al. 2017).

Version 1.1 adds 279 datasets for ORCHIDEE which were previously not published due to a technical problem.

Methods:

The ISIMIP2b permafrost outputs are based on simulations from permafrost models according to the ISIMIP2b protocol (https://www.isimip.org/protocol/2b/). A more detailed description of the models and model-specific amendments of the protocol are available here: https://www.isimip.org/impactmodels.
