Abstract:

This dataset contains ISIMIP2b (https://www.isimip.org, Frieler et al. 2017) simulation data from six global lakes model: ALBM (Tan et al. 2016, Tan et al. 2018), CLM4.5 (Thiery et al. 2017, Lawrence et al. 2011), GOTM (https://gotm.net) LAKE (Stepanenko et al. 2016), SIMSTRAT-UoG (Goudsmit et al. 2003, Patterson et al. 2010), VIC-LAKE (Bowling et al. 2009).

Version 1.1 adds datasets which were previously not published due to a technical problem. This affects GOTM (11 10-year watertemp files were missing from several datasets), LAKE (~1500 additional datasets), and VIC-LAKE (81 additional strat and thermodepth files).

Methods:

The ISIMIP2b global lakes outputs are based on simulations from global lakes models according to the ISIMIP2b protocol (https://www.isimip.org/protocol/2b/) A more detailed description of the models and model-specific amendments of the protocol are available here: https://www.isimip.org/impactmodels.
