Missing tasmin values on 03 Jan 2008 and violations of tasmin < tas < tasmax for CHELSA-W5E5v1.0 #6
Jochen Klar opened this caveat on Dec. 9, 2021.
Discussion
Jochen Klar reported on Dec. 9, 2021.
First, due to a data transmission problem, all tasmin values are missing on 03 Jan 2008. Secondly, due to interpolation artifacts, on all days there are cases of tasmin exceeding tas and of tas exceeding tasmax. The problem is limited to locations and days with low diurnal temperature variation. In some of those cases, the exceedance is greater than 1 K. Both issues will be fixed soon. To fix the second issue, tasmin will be set to tas - 0.1 K if tasmin > tas - 0.1 K, and tasmax will be set to tas + 0.1 K if tasmax < tas + 0.1 K.
