Abstract:

This dataset comprises an ensemble of 36 simulations from nine global hydrological models using internal or CaMa-Flood routing schemes, driven by factual (obsclim) and counterfactual (counterclim) climate forcing, which are bias‑adjusted at 525 gauging stations from the Global Runoff Data Centre (GRDC) using an adapted ISIMIP3BASD (Lange, 2019) quantile‑mapping approach.

The raw global hydrological model (GHM) data is available from Gosling et al. (2025). For the modified ISIMIP3BASD code see Quesada-Chacón (2026). The main modification from ISIMIP3BASD v2.5.2 (Lange, 2022) is the option to "pool" all data together for bias adjustment, instead of using the default monthly or 31-day moving window approach. Pooling all data is often more suitable for river discharge bias adjustment.
